Terms of Service
Last updated September 21, 2026. Please read these terms carefully before using VisitTrack.
1. Agreement to terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of VisitTrack (the “Service”), operated by the VisitTrack team (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you're using VisitTrack on behalf of a company, you're confirming you have authority to bind that company, and “you” refers to that company.
2. The Service
VisitTrack is a self-hosted, cookie-free web analytics service: you add a script tag to your site, and we collect and display aggregate traffic, conversion, and revenue-attribution data about your site's visitors. Optional features (Stripe revenue attribution, Google Search Console keywords, goals, funnels) are only active once you explicitly connect them.
3. Accounts
You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your login credentials confidential. You're responsible for all activity under your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
You must be legally able to enter into a binding contract to use the Service, and your use must comply with applicable law.
4. Plans, billing, and trials
Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, as selected) through Stripe. New accounts may start on a free trial; if you don't select a paid plan before the trial ends, tracking may pause until you do.
You can cancel at any time from Billing; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and we don't provide partial-period refunds except where required by law. We may change plan pricing going forward, with notice before it applies to your next billing cycle.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- track a site you don't own or don't have authorization to track;
- collect personal data about visitors beyond what the tracking script itself gathers (e.g. by passing names, emails, or other direct identifiers into custom event properties);
- attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or other customers' data;
- reverse-engineer the Service except to the extent applicable law expressly permits;
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that infringes anyone else's rights.
6. Your data
You own the data collected from your sites. We process it on your behalf as described in our Privacy Policy and, where applicable, DPA. You're responsible for having a lawful basis to collect data about your own site's visitors and for your own site's privacy disclosures to them.
7. Service availability
We aim for high availability but don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may perform scheduled maintenance, and we'll try to give notice for anything expected to cause meaningful downtime.
8. Intellectual property
We own the Service, including its software, design, and branding. These Terms don't grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding beyond what's needed to use the Service as intended. You retain all rights to your own site content and data.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms (including the acceptable-use section above) and don't cure the breach after notice, or immediately in cases of abuse, fraud, or legal risk to the Service or other customers.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, VisitTrack won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we'll notify account holders by email before the change takes effect. Continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
