Revenue-first and indie analytics

Piqo vs DataFast: which should you use in 2026?

Pick Piqo if you want the cheapest flat price — $8/mo for 1M events across 20 sites, cookie-free by default, EU-hosted, with a self-hosted license option. Pick DataFast if you want the more established revenue-attribution product, with more payment integrations, Meta Ads attribution, mobile apps and a bigger user base, and you're fine paying by traffic tier.

Key takeaways: Piqo vs DataFast

Pick Piqo if…

  • Price is decisive: one plan, $8/mo or $79/yr, covers up to 1M events and 20 websites.
  • You want cookieless tracking by default — no cookies, no localStorage, daily-rotating hash.
  • You want data hosted in the EU (Hetzner, Germany) or a one-time self-hosted license.
  • You'd like Bing Webmaster data alongside Google Search Console.

Pick DataFast if…

  • You want a product with a longer track record and a large indie-maker user base.
  • You need integrations Piqo doesn't list, such as Shopify, WooCommerce or Meta Ads attribution.
  • You want native iOS and Android apps, a React Native SDK, or X/Reddit social mentions (Growth).
  • Revenue attribution accuracy over weeks matters more than avoiding cookies — DataFast's default script uses cookies for that reason.

Piqo vs DataFast for privacy and cookie banners

This is the clearest difference between the two. Piqo stores nothing in the visitor's browser: it derives an ID from a hash of IP address, user agent and site with a salt that rotates daily, doesn't store the IP, and says no consent banner is needed. Data sits on Hetzner servers in Germany.

DataFast's default script sets cookies "for best accuracy", and its own docs say you may need a cookie banner. It offers an optional cookieless script using a similar daily-rotating hash, but warns that cookieless mode is less accurate, especially for revenue attribution over weeks or months — because a visitor who returns days later to pay can't be linked to their first visit. DataFast's privacy policy doesn't state where data is hosted.

The trade-off is real for both: any cookieless tool that rotates its salt daily can only attribute a payment to a source within the same day, unless the payment flow carries the visitor ID through checkout.

Piqo vs DataFast pricing at three traffic levels

Piqo has one plan; DataFast prices by monthly events on two plans. Monthly billing, as of October 2026:

Piqo vs DataFast monthly price by traffic level, as of October 2026
Piqo10K events/mo: $8100K events/mo: $81M events/mo: $8
DataFast10K events/mo: $9 Starter / $19 Growth100K events/mo: $19 Starter / $39 Growth1M events/mo: $69 Starter / $139 Growth

Both offer yearly billing (Piqo $79/yr; DataFast two months free). Piqo's $149 lifetime offer was limited to 50 seats, with the next batch announced at $299. DataFast includes 100K AI-bot requests per month and sells extra packs.

Setting up Piqo vs DataFast

Both install with a single script tag and offer guides for Next.js, WordPress, Webflow, Framer, Shopify and more (Piqo lists 24 guides, DataFast 21+ plus proxy guides). Revenue attribution in both works by connecting your payment provider and passing the visitor ID into checkout metadata, so the payment can be joined to the session that produced it.

Who each one is for

Piqo suits bootstrapped founders running several small sites who want revenue, Search Console and traffic in one cheap, cookie-free dashboard — and who are comfortable with a very young, single-founder product. DataFast suits indie makers and small SaaS teams who want the better-known revenue-first tool, more payment and ad integrations, and mobile apps, and who'll pay more as traffic grows.

Migrating between Piqo and DataFast

Piqo imports from DataFast (and from Google Analytics and Plausible), so moving from DataFast to Piqo keeps your history. DataFast documents an import from Plausible but not from Piqo. In both cases you'll reconnect your payment provider and re-create goals and funnels.

A third option: VisitTrack

Disclosure: VisitTrack publishes this page.

VisitTrack sits in the same revenue-first category: one script tag, Stripe, Paddle, Lemon Squeezy, Polar and Razorpay attribution, Search Console keywords, funnels, journeys, session replays and click heatmaps, with a choice of standard, cookieless or hybrid tracking. It's event-priced — $5/mo for 10K, $19 for 100K, $59 for 1M — with every feature on every plan and a 14-day trial without a card. Piqo vs DataFast: frequently asked questions

Is Piqo cheaper than DataFast?

Yes, at almost every volume. Piqo's single plan is $8/mo for up to 1M events, while DataFast Starter costs $69/mo at 1M events (Growth $139). At 10K events DataFast Starter is $9/mo, about the same.

Does DataFast need a cookie banner?
