VisitTrack vs Pirsch
Updated
TL;DR — the verdict
Choose Pirsch if…
you want the lowest entry price for a solid privacy-first tool, German hosting, unlimited data retention, webhooks and SDKs, or a one-click import from Google Analytics, Plausible or Fathom.
Choose VisitTrack if…
you want revenue attributed from your payment provider instead of summing event values, you'd like replays, heatmaps and journeys, and you'd rather have every feature on the base plan.
What is Pirsch?
Pirsch is a privacy-first analytics product from Emvi Software GmbH in Germany, hosted on Hetzner in Germany. It identifies visitors with a hash of IP, user agent, date and a per-domain salt (recognized for at most 24 hours), sets no cookies and says you can "say goodbye to consent banners." Its core tracking library is open source under the AGPLv3; self-hosting the full product needs an Enterprise license.
Pirsch is developer-friendly: a REST API, SDKs, webhooks, server-side tracking, Search Console on all plans, and importers from Google Analytics, Plausible and Fathom. Its Plus plan adds funnels, A/B testing, segmentation, teams and "ecommerce revenue tracking," which works as custom metrics — totals and averages of a numeric field on an event.

Revenue tracking in Pirsch vs VisitTrack
Pirsch's ecommerce revenue tracking is a custom metric: you send a purchase event with an amount, and Pirsch shows the total and average per source of that event. It's flexible and works for any number you want to sum, but it only sees what your site sends — not subscription renewals or refunds that happen inside your payment provider.
VisitTrack takes each payment from your provider's verified webhook and credits it to the visitor's first-touch referrer, campaign and landing page, subtracting refunds automatically. See revenue attribution.

VisitTrack vs Pirsch: FAQ
Is VisitTrack a good Pirsch alternative?
Yes, if revenue attribution and session replays matter to you. VisitTrack matches Pirsch's cookie-free tracking in cookieless mode and adds payments from Stripe, Polar, Lemon Squeezy, Paddle and Razorpay credited to their source. Pirsch is cheaper for plain traffic stats.
How much does Pirsch cost?
As of October 2026 Pirsch Standard costs $6/month for 10k pageviews, $12 for 100k and $54 for 1M; Plus costs $12, $27 and $159. Yearly billing is 10× the monthly price. There's a 30-day trial without a card.
Is Pirsch open source?
Partly. Pirsch's core tracking library is open source under the AGPLv3, but the hosted product isn't, and self-hosting the full product requires an Enterprise license. VisitTrack is hosted only.
Does Pirsch need a cookie banner?
Pirsch says no: it sets no cookies and identifies visitors with a daily, salted hash. VisitTrack's cookieless mode works the same way; its standard mode keeps a first-party id that generally needs consent in the EU.
Can I import Pirsch data into VisitTrack?
Only event-level data can be imported. Pirsch's standard exports are aggregated CSVs, with raw exports on request. VisitTrack's historical import accepts individual pageviews and events with original timestamps.
Does Pirsch have funnels?
Yes, on the Plus plan. VisitTrack includes funnels on every plan, and attributed payments appear as a funnel step automatically.
